Data Collaboration Platform continues global expansion.
New York / London / Milan, May 4, 2022 – InfoSum, the world’s leading data collaboration platform, today announced its expansion into Italy, continuing to grow the business due to exceptionally strong market demand amidst changes in managing customer data. Amongst the first Italian partners is Mediaset Group’s Publitalia '80. InfoSum enables companies to collaborate with complete end-to-end protection of their customer data, ensuring they never have to compromise on security or privacy.
With the expansion to Italy, Riccardo Polizzy Carbonelli joins as Sales Director and the first employee in Milan with immediate effect. He reports to Stuart Colman, SVP Sales Northern Europe & Italy. Carbonelli has more than three decades of experience in the broadcast and media space, witnessing the evolution of TV first-hand. He began his career first working in linear TV, then interactive Pay TV, followed by the digital web and roles in adtech and martech.
Prior to his role at InfoSum, he worked as VP Publisher and Data Partnership at Zeotap, initiating operations in Spain, Italy, and the UK. He also worked as Managing Director Italy at Wunderloop, the very first European behavioral platform, and successfully introduced the new technology to leading Italian publishers and telcos. Other roles include Thematic TV Group Channel Director at Stream TV (now Sky Italia), and Regional Sales Manager at Publitalia '80.
“Italy is a strong and vibrant market on the leading edge of technology. Our platform allows Italian companies to confidently and securely manage their customer data and collaborate with partners, all without sharing sensitive personal information. With Publitalia '80, one of the country’s biggest media owners, already working with us, Italy is the next logical and natural move for InfoSum after the US, UK and Germany”, said Brian Lesser, Chairman and CEO at InfoSum. “We are thrilled about Riccardo joining InfoSum. With him we have an experienced thought leader and executive leading on the ground in Italy. Riccardo is already driving growth, servicing our important partners, and building our world-class Italian team.”
“The advertising ecosystem has been exposed and weakened by a rise in privacy regulation across the globe, an erosion of consumer trust, the demise of the third-party cookie, and the concentration of data wealth by highly fenced walled gardens”, said Riccardo Polizzy Carbonelli, Sales Director Italy at InfoSum. “InfoSum overcomes these barriers and delivers the much needed connective tissue for the industry which places privacy at the center by providing companies and publishers with an infrastructure based on separate data bunkers that eliminate the need to move and share data. By ensuring companies retain full control of their data through the non-movement of data, marketers are empowered to safely use their own data to collaborate with other parties in order to better understand customers and optimize their experience.”
